When errors occur in CODESYS on any of our devices or information about our devices is available, it is logged in the /var/opt/codesys/codesyscontrol.log file.
For CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi MC SL up to version V4.8.0.0, the errors and information are logged in the /tmp/codesyscontrol.log file.
This is how you can view the file:
- Double-click in the CODESYS device tree on the root device.
- Click on the “Log” tab.
- Use the component filter as “IoDrvRevPiBridge”.
This will show only specific messages from the Revolution Pi I/O driver.
The piControl component displays the kernel log for the piControl kernel module, which is responsible for managing the configured RevPi system.
