PiBridge is a backplane bus by which all the modules belonging to the Revolution Pi family can be connected.
The following add-ons can be connected to your RevPi Core using PiBridge:
- Up to 10 expansion modules (e.g. our I/O modules). Of these 10 Extension modules, 2 may be RevPi Gates modules.
PLEASE NOTE
RevPi Gate modules may only be positioned at the end of a chain, therefore to the far left or to the far right. It you place them in the middle of the chain, module recognition will not function properly and the system will not start up after being turned on but go into error status. The PiCtory configuration programme will also not allow such alignments.
The data is transmitted by signal lines from one module via the PiBridge to the other module.
The various signal lines have the following tasks:
Pin | Abbreviation | Description | Function |
Position recognition | These signal lines control the initial module and position recognition. RevPi Core thereby recognises on which side a module is connected. |
