The RevPi Gateways are not supported by the RevPi SE series as well as by the RevPi Connect 4.
The PiBridge is a backplane bus, which you can use to connect all the modules from the Revolution Pi family.
You can use the PiBridge to connect the following expansion modules:
To a RevPi Connect+ and RevPi Connect S:
- Up to 5 expansion modules (e.g. our I/O modules). Of these 5 expansion modules, 1 module may be a RevPi Gateway.
To a RevPi Connect SE:
-
- Up to 5 expansion modules (e.g. our I/O modules) can be connected on the left. RevPi Gateways cannot be connected.
To a RevPi Connect 4:
-
- Up to 10 extension modules (e.g. our I/O modules) can be connected, of which 5 extension modules on the left and 5 extension modules on the right. RevPi Gateways cannot be connected.
If you are using a RevPi Connect, you may only connect I/O modules and RevPi Gateways on the left-hand side using the black PiBridge connector.
If you connect the modules on the right-hand side (the Connect connection), your devices may be destroyed.
- Plug the PiBridge, as shown, into the PiBridge connections on the devices you wish to connect.
Signal lines are used to transfer the data from one module to the other module via the PiBridge.
If you are developing your own devices and wish to incorporate them into your system later via the PiBridge, please note the details provided in the circuit diagrams.
