The Device Password #
The device password can be found on the sticker on the side of the housing of the RevPi. When you log in for the first time, you are asked to create your own password. You can use Cockpit to change the password for the user pi or create additional accounts.
The device password is generated based on the serial number of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). If the file etc/revpi/factory-reset is not found during the boot process, revpi-serial.c regenerates the device password based on the unique serial number of the TPM.

The Default Password #
The default password may be needed after reinstalling the operating system image. The login credentials you need can vary and depend on the operating system version and whether the RevPi has a HAT EEPROM.

The initial device setup runs automatically before the first login. Then log in using the following credentials:

User: pi

Password: device password from the device sticker
After a reinstallation, you first log in using the following credentials:

Default user: pi
