Relay

There is a relay contact on the X2 connections of the and the RevPi Connect 4 respectively.

You can use this according to your project, e.g. to interrupt the power supply of a connected hardware (e.g. RevPi DIO, Wireless Router…).

RevPi Connect

  • The relay can switch a maximum of 30 V and 2 A.
  • The relay contact is closed after the start.
  • You can open and close it in the process image via the status byte RevPiLED, bit 6.
  • The relay can also be switched when the watchdog triggers a restart, see Watchdog RevPi Connect.

How the opening and closing of the relay contact works, you will learn in How to Use Status Bytes. In Status Bytes on the RevPi the functions are described in more detail.

RevPi Connect 4

  • The relay can switch a maximum of 30 V and 300 mA.
  • The relay contact is open after the start.
  • You can open and close it in the process image via the status byte RevPiOutput, bit 0.
