We have failed RevPi core SE.The unit seems to be dead and I am unable to use it. It doesn’t load completely. See attached picture where the pi stop the loading process.
With RPI Boot - I am unable to access it and it doesn’t show up as a device. The controller is less than 2years old.
Now I have the following questions :
- what is the lifetime of these units?
- is there a way how we can now extract the data from the device? It has log data for several months and this lead to serious loss in production as we are unable to present the log…

Hi Ivan. From the picture it's evident that a kernel panic happened. From what I can tell the eMMC on the compute module is still (at least partially) readable, also indicated by the log showing it finds both partitions on it.
In order to further understand how we might be able to help you we would need more context. Specifically, the full output of the boot process (e.g. recorded via HDMI or a phone with a steady hand), the output of rpiboot, and, ideally, also the output of the device's HDMI when running rpiboot.
Since, from what I can see now, the eMMC looks to be intact, the problem *might* be the RevPi hardware in this instance, although we can't know that yet. If you have another RevPi available you can try putting the compute module in another RevPi or even a Compute Module 3 IO Board by Raspberry Pi.
Regardless of the products and issue presented here, I'd also like to use this chance to say: Please make backups of important data!
That being said, let's try to figure out this issue together so you can hopefully recover the data!
