Connect 4 Temperature Specs

Post by bwhitson »

Greetings!

The Pi foundation lists the CM4's temperature specs at -20 to +85C non-condensing.
https://datasheets.raspberrypi.com/cm4/ ... asheet.pdf

I'm curious as to why Kunbus lists -25 to 55C.

Thanks!

Hi bwhitson, we specify smaller temperature ranges for our devices because there is a noticeable temperature difference between the ambient temperature around the device and the temperature in the device and thus at the processor, and we specify the temperature as the upper threshold at which the compute module starts to reduce its clock rate under load. This is how we arrive at an upper limit of 55 °C.
