RevPi Trixie 13.0 Is Here! - Support Until 2030

Dear community,

RevPi Trixie is here! The new version of our Revolution Pi OS gives you an up-to-date software base for your application with support and updates until June 2030.

RevPi Trixie 13.0 is based on Debian 13 (Trixie), integrates selected packages from Raspberry Pi OS Trixie, and uses Linux kernel 6.18.37.

At a Glance
  • Long Term Support (LTS): Continuous security updates and support for issues until June 30, 2030.
  • Easier Commissioning: Automatic initial configuration after flashing on devices with HAT-EEPROM.
  • Updated Software Components: GCC 14.2.0, glibc 2.41, OpenSSL 3.5.6, Python 3.13.5, systemd 257.13
  • New Versioning Scheme: Versioning follows the Debian major version (Debian 13). Note: minor versions (RevPi Trixie 13.x) do not correspond to Debian minor versions.
The image includes all package updates released in the Debian, Raspberry Pi OS, and Revolution Pi package repositories up to July 27, 2026.

Installation Notes
  • The default image requires at least 8 GB of eMMC storage (flash memory). For devices with less storage, use the Lite version.
  • The naming scheme for Ethernet interfaces has changed. This means you need to update scripts, configurations, etc., that contain interface names.
