This is my first step into industrial automation so might be missing something obvious.
My project involves reading the status of our factories Andon lighting system, and using node red to display the status on a dashboard.
The system used a RevPi 3 and 2 DI modules. Each light is wired to a 3 position switch, super simnple.
I've taken a tap into the line between the switch and the lights into the digital input on the DI. Most of the time it works, however it frequently shows odd readings (Flicking between 2 states, or showing 2 states active at once). I'm guessing I need some sort of pull-up or pull-down circuit to stop this?
