Connector Labeling on RevPi Compac

Hello,

I have a question regarding the labels and symbols printed on the enclosure of the RevPi Compact — especially around the connector names, LED indicators etc. I am trying to determine whether these markings are created by laser engraving (which would slightly etch the material) or by UV-printing (a surface ink-based method).

We are planning to add our own logo and descriptions to our product, and would like to match the styling used on the confirmed RevPi Compact models.

Hi Ventran,

Thank you for your inquiry about the labeling methods used on the RevPi Compact enclosures.

We use laser engraving for all the labels and symbols on our RevPi models. This method creates permanent, etched markings directly into the material surface, ensuring excellent durability and a professional appearance that matches industrial standards.

Since you're looking to add your own logo and descriptions while maintaining consistency with our styling, laser engraving would be the ideal approach to achieve the same look and quality as our confirmed RevPi Compact models.
However, I should mention that unfortunately the Compact is EOL (End of Life). But you can use another RevPi like Connect 5 or Connect 4 and some expansion modules instead ;)

For more information about customization options and how we can help you match our styling with these alternative solutions, please take a look at our customization page: https://revolutionpi.com/en/customization

If you have any additional questions about the laser engraving process or customization possibilities with our current product lineup, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Hi RamiGspo,
Thank you very much for your detailed reply and for clarifying that the RevPi Compact uses laser engraving for all labels and symbols. This information is very helpful for us as we plan our own logo and markings.
