Hi,

I´ve seen, that there´s already bookworm packages avail in the official download area.
Will there be some images avail in the near future which are based on bookworm?

Yup, the bullseye images were released only a few days ago, but I found some suggestions in the web, that a fresh install of bookworm from scratch would be the best way to get a fresh and stable system.

Thks.

Hi

at the moment there is no official Bookworm release, thus we recommend to use the Bullseye image for a fresh and stable system. Bookworm ist currently under development. Therefore the packages are in the repo, but likely there are things which will break. We hope to publish some first BETA images in August.

Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, Bookworm for RevPi is still not available. Beta will be released in the next couple of weeks for testing. We`ll post in the news & announcement as soon as the Beta is available for download.

Please keep in mind, that the Beta version is for evaluation purposes only and should not be used in productive environments.

Hi again,
sounds good.

And the final release will be avail at?

But what about a 32bit version?
Form my POV, there´s still no real benefit, when switching to 64bit at all.

Hi optitas,

we final Bookworm release is expected to be available within the next two weeks.

Starting with Bookworm there will be only 64-bit releases of our image. We decided to drop the 32-bit support as most of the software vendors provide their software no longer for 32-bit. Also this will reduce the maintance effort at our side, because we only need to maintain and test for one architecture. All active products are supported by the 64-bit images. It is also noteworthy that starting with Raspberry Pi 5 64-bit is the only supported architecture with Raspberry.

Great to see bookworm beeing finally released 😍

However I've used ImageBakery to customize my images.
Where can I find the bookworm build there?
I did not yet find a release tag there.

Hi

Starting with bookworm we switched the buildsystem to debos instead of the handcrafted imagebakery approach. You can find everything in our git repository: https://gitlab.com/revolutionpi/debos-build/
