RevPi Core emergency mode with buster/buster-lite img

Hello,

I've been seeking a small version OS available for revpi. The first time it starts with buster and/or buster-lite it works fine but when I reboot the core I go to emergency mode, (the stretch img works fine)
I've tryed most of the solutions I've seen and the only mildly successful was to comment the boot section, but then the core gets super slow and unresponsive after reboot.
Using a cpu performance monitor(HTOP) i can see that the cpu is at 100%.

If you're running on a Core (and not Core 3(+) or S) this is a known Bug, which will be fixed with the next image release (probably mid of December).

I did an update from Jessie to Buster on PI Core. I used the instructions to do this.
But after a reboot the system goes into emergency because /boot is no longer accessible. I tried to change the fstab, but I did it wrong.
Is there a detailed tutorial somewhere on how to modify the boot routine?

Hi Torsten,

The update path from Jessie to Buster is not supported (skipping one major release, stretch). Besides that there were several performance issues with the usb driver in Buster on the old Core. The issues have been fixed in the current kernel packages. In the next few days we will publish the updated Buster image 2023-01 which introduces support for newer Core models like the SE and also works with the old Core. So keep an eye on the announcement section here in the forum.

Hello, I'm getting the same problem and I'm using RevPi Buster (01/2023) which it's supposed to fix the bug.
I'm using Core. Done the instalation from linux using usboot and raspberry imager.
The first time it boots the installation goes correctly.
After doing sudo reboot now I get the same error as @Guilherme Matos
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Domenec, RevPi Core is officially supported only until Stretch.
