A sensor with a current output can be passive
(needs 24V over the sensor output leads) Here the consumed current is the output value.
A sensor can be active.
In this case the sensor does have its own power supply, and does source a current on its output.
What is the correct way to connect either of those sensor types to an AIO ??
Does this have to do with the optional bridge between "+" and "*"' pin of the IN ports?
