Release Highlights (RevPi Bookworm 06/2026):
  • The image includes all Debian Bookworm and Raspberry Pi OS package updates up to June 11, 2026, and uses Linux kernel 6.12.91.
  • Security-relevant kernel update: The Linux kernel was updated from version 6.12.73 to 6.12.91. This closes the critical security vulnerabilities CVE-2026-31431, CVE-2026-43284, CVE-2026-46300, and CVE-2026-46333, which allowed arbitrary users to gain root privileges.
  • Cockpit improvements: Bug fix in the information message during software installation, new browser icon, and updated documentation links in the help menu.
  • OPC UA Server: Comment fields from PiCtory are now displayed as the Description property in OPC UA.
  • Bug fix in piControl: The KB_STOP_IO ioctl now works correctly for RevPi MIO, RevPi RO, and RevPi DIO.
  • Modbus Client & Server: The services now run with an unprivileged system user within a secure systemd sandbox.
